We also made google desktop versions (shh) for people that haven' stopped whinging about upgrading to Vista yet. On a side note the development experience for creating google gadgets is horrible - no really, I'd rather jump off a cliff than develop another google gadget. I do however quite enjoy the Vista sidebar dev experience, largely because you can capitalise on existing knowledge of web development. Its also rather pleasant to write javascript and HTML for only one browser as the Vista gadget uses IE 7 as it's rendering engine.
